The first edition of the Contemporary Art Weekend (WAC) took place from September 28 to October 1, 2017, with the ambition to show Bordeaux’s art scene in all its diversity. Whether institutions, art galleries or associations, in total more than 35 places offered exhibitions and events on the theme of landscape with a varied program of local and international artists. The theme of landscape was approached from very different angles. Each structure defended a clean aesthetic and a singular look on art. This common subject could highlight the identity of each place even more. For this first edition we proposed to live in a common space, a WAC Headquarters, our Central Station which was located in the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux.
