In her exhibition HABITAT, Anne Schönharting, a member of the Ostkreuz agency, shows photographs of people in Berlin-Charlottenburg, which she portrayed and staged in her apartments for over 10 years. The pictures are subtle self-portrayals, show a social environment and a special atmosphere.

Anne Schönharting, born in Meißen in 1973, lives and works in Berlin. She devotes herself to a wide variety of topics and moves between genres, be it portraiture, artistic documentary photography, fashion, and social study. Anne Schönharting has been a member of the Ostkreuz agency since 1999. In addition to her own long-term artistic projects, she works on behalf of national and international clients and has received several awards. From 2020 to 2021 she taught as a visiting professor of photography at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and in 2022 she also taught as a visiting professor of photography at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel. In 2020, Hartmann Books published her award-winning first book “The Legacy”, an examination of her family’s colonial past.
